In 1806 the victory of Jena made Napoleon master of Prussia and by the Treaty of Tilsit in 1807, Frederick lost the greater part of his dominions. On the 16th March 1813, Frederick declared war on Napoleon and began the war which liberated Prussia and eventually overthrew Napoleon. Frederick visited England in June 1814. |
