Arthur Wellesley was created Earl of Wellington on the 28th February 1812 and on the 3rd October he was created Marquis. On the 7th December Parliament voted him the sum of £ 100.000 to be vested in lands.
...Although this medal is by a different artist the reverse appears to be from the same reverse die of No. 611.
